Reasons for the rupture of high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hose
Time:2023-12-29Page views:1177Due to the long-term high-pressure state of high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hoses, accidents often occur once they occur. In order to avoid accidents, in addition to choosing high-performance rubber hoses, attention should also be paid to other areas where quality problems may occur.
1、 Poor manufacturing quality
1. The inner and outer layers of the pipe wall are made of oil resistant rubber, and the middle layer is made of (2-4 layers) cross woven steel wire or wrapped steel wire. Poor quality rubber hoses may have: uneven wall thickness of the hose, wire weaving that is too tight or too loose, or too few layers of wire during weaving; The deformation (elongation, shortening) or bending deformation of the rubber hose under compression is significant; The poor airtightness of the outer layer of adhesive leads to rusting of the steel wire; The inner layer adhesive has poor airtightness, and the liquid inside the tube is prone to enter the steel wire layer; The adhesion between the bonding layer and the steel wire layer is insufficient. The above situations will reduce the load-bearing capacity of the hose, leading to bursting at weak points on the pipe wall.
2. Improper selection of crimping amount and speed during the assembly of the hose and joint, or improper selection of the structure, material, and size of the joint, may cause compression of the hose and joint. Too tight or too loose, causing early damage to the joint.
When assembling, if the crimping amount is too small, that is, the pressure between the joint and the hose is too loose, the hose may come out of the joint under the action of oil pressure in the early stage of use; If the crimping amount is too large, the joint and hose may be compressed too tightly. If it is too tight, it is easy to cause local damage to the inner layer of the hose, resulting in cracks.
When assembling rubber hoses and fittings, if the clamping speed is too fast, it is easy to cause damage to the inner rubber and breakage of the steel wire layer, resulting in premature damage to the rubber hose during use. In addition, unreasonable joint design and poor processing quality can also cause damage to the internal adhesive; If the joint material is selected improperly, it is easy to deform during the crimping process, which affects the crimping quality and shortens the service life of the hose.
2、 Improper use
Under the premise of normal quality, improper use can shorten the service life of the hose. In practical work, the damage to high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hoses is mostly caused by improper use.
1. Frequently subjected to severe pressure shocks
The bursting of high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hoses is generally not caused by excessive static pressure, but is related to the severity and frequency of pressure impact. During the operation of construction machinery, there will be repeated sudden increases or decreases in oil pressure inside the pipes, resulting in frequent pressure shocks, exacerbating damage to oil seals in various parts, bubbling and rupturing of rubber hoses, as well as loosening and leakage of pipe joints. Therefore, when operating, do not apply too much force when pulling the valve stem, but be gentle.
2. The working temperature is too high
During the operation of construction machinery, the hydraulic system heats up the oil due to power loss. Combined with the influence of external temperature, the temperature will rise sharply. The higher the working temperature, the easier it is for the rubber hose to age, the worse its elasticity, and the lower its strength and sealing performance. Therefore, during operation, when the temperature of the hydraulic system rises too high or too fast, the cause should be identified and eliminated in a timely manner; Corresponding cooling measures should be taken during summer homework, especially during continuous work.
3. Unreasonable selection and installation
When replacing the hose, the length, number of steel wire layers, joint shape, and size of the selected hose need to be reasonable, and the bending of the hose should be minimized as much as possible; When tightening the joint nut, do not cause the hose to twist, excessive bending and twisting will reduce the service life of the hose; Protective measures should be taken for parts that are prone to friction to prevent the hose from bursting due to wear and tear.
The structure of high-pressure steel wire braided rubber hose consists of a liquid resistant synthetic rubber inner layer, middle layer, steel wire braided reinforcement layer, and a weather resistant synthetic rubber outer layer. During the production process, the equipment should be operated in a standardized manner. During use, the damage and temperature of the hose should be reasonably controlled to extend its service life and reduce the probability of accidents.
